Checking In On Yearly Goals

It is halfway through the year and that means time to check in your “New Year’s Resolutions” or “Yearly Goals.” Did you set goals for yourself this year? I have been in the habit of keeping track of things I would like to accomplish at the beginning of the year and then checking them off as the year goes by. Sometimes at the end of the year, I have done all the things and sometimes I have not. For example, last year, I never ran a half marathon. I had that item on my list for two years previously and I never did it. Well good news, this year I finally completed that item on my list!

I share this not to brag or boast, but instead to remind you that setting goals is a great thing to do. It gives you something to work towards and aim for and then that feeling of accomplishing something important. That matters and believing in yourself to do something hard is so important. Do you always accomplish all the goals on your list … no and that is ok. What matters is believing in yourself to set them in the first place.
